THANK YOU!

I want to thank each and every person who voted for and supported me and the ideas that this campaign represented. Although we were not succesful, we ran a clean race, focused on the issues. I am proud that we raised the level of the issues discussed and did our very best to offer the residents of District 3 an informed, new voice. We may not have been successful the first time out, but rest assured, tomorrow is another day. I plan on keeping this website and from time to time will post my thoughts on city topics. I was never afraid to take a stand during the campaign, and I don’t intend to change now. I hope you all will continue to share your thoughts and feelings with me as well — one of my favorite parts of this campaign was getting to know many of you. I hope that we will be able to continue that friendship.

I now ask you for one more favor: please go out on April 11th and vote for Robert Stuart. Although Robert and I do not see eye to eye on every issue, we have spent a good bit of time discussing the issues and he is open to at least hearing the other side. That along makes him a far better choice than the incumbent.

Time and time again, by her actions and the positions she takes, Ms. Vargo demonstrates that she is not worthy of the people she purports to represent. As the Orlando Sentinel and Channel 2 have reported, Ms. Vargo has abused her office repeatedly during her tenure–using City resources and our tax dollars to pay a political consultant and provide herself with free campaign advertising. Now, as she sees defeat as a real possiblity, Ms. Vargo has turned to negative campaigning in these final weeks. She is unfit to serve District 3 and it is vitally important that everyone turn out to support Robert Stuart.

Once he is in office, we will hold him accountable for his actions and words, just as we are Ms. Vargo by voting her out. Our government, local and national, only works if everyone stays involved and votes — so PLEASE take the time on April 11th to vote for Robert Stuart. We can and we will hold politicians to a higher standard, and we need to start in District 3 by removing Vicki Vargo and electing Robert Stuart.
